Description Job Description: Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator **Contractor can work fully remote** This position provides Totara learning management system (LMS) administration and support for Education Services. The system administrator role is responsible for the overall configuration, implementation and maintenance of Ruckus' LMS implementation. This position will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the LMS, including administration, publishing, UAT, vendor interaction, and troubleshooting. Provide training and support to business unit users and admins as needed. This LMS admin will also provide content curation, ensuring that data is well organized, current, and archived as necessary. Ideal candidates will have previous experience working in TOTARA LMS Admnistration or Moodle Top Soft Skills: -Highly Organized -Excellent follow up skills and time management Responsibilities: Performs all system administrative tasks in the technology platforms supporting the company's LMS including but not limited to: oLMS system configuration, setup, maintenance, and support, including defining business rules, assigning user roles/permissions and security roles oDeep understanding of how content authoring tools work (Articulate Presenter/Quizmaker, Adobe Captivate/Connect, Brainshark) and how they interact with systems oThorough understanding and ability to migrate data and integrate complimentary system data, including HRIS/ERP, SFDC, and 3rd party LMS (Skillport, etc.) oConfigure/setup competencies, prescriptive rules, curriculum paths, and certifications oConfigure Reports - ad-hoc and fixed oTroubleshoot all system errors, including bulk import of data, user errors, connectivity, virtual classroom connectivity, etc.,and timely escalation to LMS vendor when necessary, i.e. - point person for vendor LMS support oMaintain and add security roles oManage LMS UI including labels, menus, color scheme oSupport Workflow management, localization and global capabilities. oPackage course content, publish and conduct UAT oAttend weekly meetings with staff to resolve customer sat issues oUnderstand how SSO works with LMS oKnowledge of LMS extracts and the data required for SFDC and course schedule, including data field mapping for each oUpdate the content on the LMS learner home page to include Announcements, FAQs, and branding oDetermine, facilitate, and document best practices. oTrain and mentor user admins on specific roles The preferred candidate will possess a degree in a business or technology discipline with three or more years of experience supporting an Enterprise LMS for medium to large companies; preferably in the technical education industry. A prior LMS System Admin role in Technology, Training and Development is preferred. Experience and demonstrated competencies: · LMS operation, management, troubleshooting, and configuration with Totara (preferred) and Moodle (required) · Experience with SSO, PCI, data integration, Experience API (xAPI/TinCan), XML-tagging, structured content, and reusable content objects preferred Strong business acumen. · Great analytical and critical thinking skills. · Highly focused on job priorities and customer needs. · Excellent project management skills and p roficiency in the Microsoft Office suite VIVA is an equal opportunity employer.
